During 2020 our founder and Senior Director Paul will be running a 10k each month and raising money to support the Boost Charitable Trust. We first heard about the trust through our clients St Bride’s Managers who also sponsor the charity.

Boost was created in 2005 to champion the disabled and disadvantaged to inspire them to overcome their challenges through the power of sport.

They support charities like The Running Charity who help young people that are homeless or at risk of being so, through running which helps build resilience, confidence and self-esteem.

£5 could help a young person to meet with a wellbeing mentor who will help them improve their wellbeing, fitness and reduce their isolation

£15 could allow a young person the opportunity to take part in a running session alongside a 1:1 personalised goal setting plan;

£20 could help us train a passionate runner to have the skills to change the life of a young person

£50 could give a young person the chance to run a life-changing race and inspire them for the future.

All donations will be gratefully received and will help make a difference to people’s lives such as Roxanne and George.

Roxanne was separated from her children and living in a homeless night shelter after fleeing domestic violence when she first joined The Running Charity.

During her journey she built back her motivation, self-esteem and built a close knit group of friends that helped push herself forward. With new levels of confidence and the support of her peers Roxanne found a job and is united with her children again.

George had lost his job and with no savings, soon found himself homeless. Having spent time rough sleeping he enrolled on The Running Charity programme.

Seeing himself progress physically helped George improve his confidence and self-esteem. With a clearer mind-set and a steely determination George ticked off every goal that was set by our programme officer. He now has a full-time job, and is in secured private rented accommodation.

“Raising money for such a worth while cause, inspires me to keep pushing myself and support those that need a little bit of help. I strongly believe it’s important to give back which I encourage in the ethos of Vantage. I ran the Manchester half marathon last year in aid of Boost and it was fantastic to hear to about all the work they do.”
